Doug WILLIAMSON

Painting is the pursuit of intelligence; self expression is merely a by-product. The simple way light dissolves into darkness, the tension between contrasting colors or the subtly of an edge are but a few of the visual concepts that structure composition. Every painting is a self-portrait mirroring the painters understanding of craft and insight. Every stroke should have purpose.
