Distant Light Installation Show – Joice M. Hall (January 2026 – June 2026): Kelowna Art Gallery Satellite Space at the Kelowna International Airport (YLW)
The inaugural presentation of the newly expanded Satellite Space at the Kelowna International Airport will be a selection of paintings by celebrated West Kelowna artist Joice M. Hall.
This exhibition highlights her sweeping panoramic vision and her remarkable ability to capture the shifting light, weather, and beauty of the Okanagan Valley. Spanning key moments in her career, these works document some of Kelowna’s most impactful events, often painted from her vantage point across the lake, where she observes the region’s dramatic colours and ever-changing skies.
Joice M. Hall, trained at the Alberta College of Art, has built a career defined by experimentation and deep engagement with landscape. She balanced her studio practice with teaching at the Alberta College of Art and the University of Calgary while exhibiting nationally. Working between Mexico and Canada broadened her visual language, and she now focuses on the Okanagan’s distinctive environment. Elected to the Royal Canadian Academy, she continues to exhibit across North America, with work in collections throughout Canada and the United States.
